Take Me Home: BUDDHA'S HAND COLLECTION

This is my Buddha's Hand collection that was featured in the Kwong Hwa on July 3rd, 2009.
At the moment they shall remain a private collection.
I am planning to take them on a national wide tour at major Buddhist temple in all Malaysia's town.
I shall keep you post on the date/time/venue of the exhibition.

Thank you for visiting my blog and getting to know my works and me personally.

I am an Architect by profession graduated from Sydney, Australia. I reside in Penang, Malaysia.

I made these artworks on stones and later on terracotta roof tiles, out of a challenge in creating own my "style". Before that I mainly collect Australia’s aboriginal stone art.

During the Chinese New Year in 2008, I being a 48 years old “RAT” was asked by the local press to contribute “an idea” to usher in the Year of the Rat.

I came up with this idea of “Gratitude Stones” which I gave them away to relatives and friends as gift of kindness to express my thanks during Chinese New Year.

Since then I have perfected my own styles and 3D techniques that has taken the stone arts by storm. My collections have been featured in most major Chinese & English papers in Malaysia in 2008/2009. (see The Press Coverage below)

Lately on 3^rd July 2009, I was very honoured that my Buddha’s Hand Collection was featured a full page in Kwong Hua Daily, the no.1 Chinese newspaper in Penang.

In August 2009, I am glad that finally I have fulfilled my long ambition of extending my unique techniques on the stones to the Terracotta Roof tile of Penang.

From the publicity and word of mouth, I have many inquiries to look and buy my gratitude stones.
